Charitable Funds
Mid-Valley has several different charitable funds to aid our clients in vocational and residential support.
The Mid-Valley Charitable Fund is a separate 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) organization which provides support to Mid-Valley operations. Started in 1986 to administer the proceeds of an estate, the Mid-Valley Charitable Fund can handle charitable remainder annuity funds, trusts, and a wide array of financial planning arrangements. Contributions are eligible for tax deductions and consultations on estate planning are available.
The Ron Edwards Memorial Fund, started in 1999 as a golf tournament, is a fun way to raise scholarship funds for people with disabilities. These scholarships are used to provide vocational, residential, and transportation services to individuals who lost their funding from the State of Oregon, or are on a "wait list" for services.
We are in the process of building our Special Needs Fund to assist some clients with medical issues that are not covered by Oregon Health Plan.
