Individual Employment Services
The Employment Services department works out of the 5th Street Office in McMinnville. It currently supports about 35 workers who have individual placements in community jobs. Employment Specialists work with employers in Yamhill, Polk, Marion and Washington Counties to develop job opportunities. They then provide on-the-job training and ongoing support to assist them in retaining their jobs.
Mid-Valley works with businesses to meet their labor needs through the hiring of an individual, several individuals, or a team. We use a variety of methods and resources to match people with jobs and train them to be successful employees. We can assist potential employers in a number of ways including:
- Employee screening
- Job / task analyses
- Productivity / time studies
- Adaptive equipment
- On-the-job training
- Follow-up services and training
